Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey have been busy shooting for Chhapaak, a story based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, the acid attack survivor. Deepika will also be turning producer for the movie which is being helmed by Meghna Gulzar. While Deepika’s first look as Malti created a positive wave on social media, Vikrant too is not behind when it comes to going an extra milestone to get into the skin of the character. Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that the actor has gained 10 kgs to look the part in Chhapaak.
A source informs, “Vikrant plays Deepika aka Malti’s husband in Chhapaak. For the same the actor had to gain as much as 10 kgs to fit the bill of the character. Vikrant without beating an eyelid was up for this.” Vikrant has time and again proved that he is the one to look out for in the upcoming years. The actor recently impressed everyone with Criminal Justice, a web series which garnered a lot of positive reviews.

Speaking of Chhapaak, the movie had gone on floors in Delhi and the team is now shooting for the second leg in Mumbai. The movie releases in January next year and is one of the most anticipated ones. Before this, Deepika was seen in Padmaavat where she played a titular role alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
