The entire nation is currently mourning the untimely demise of Bollywood’s first female superstar, Sridevi, The 54-year-old-actor breathed her last in Dubai on February 24, 2018. Her family including Boney Kapoor, stepson Arjun Kapoor are currently in Dubai to claim the mortal remains of Sridevi which is kept in Dubai morgue.
As per latest reports, the family has been given permission to airlift her body to be flown to India. As we wait to catch the final glimpses of the legendary actor, Rakesh Roshan, Sridevi’s co-star and producer of many films, in a statement to us recounted the many talents of the deceased actor.
“Saddened & shocked, Sridevi was a very humble loveable & an unparalleled actor. I pray for her soul & family to gain strength on her untimely demise.,” Rakesh Roshan said while adding, “Though she acted in Hindi films from South I was the first to bring Sri to Mumbai for ‘Jaag Utha Insaan’ & then Bhagwaan Dada. Sri was a born actor in the real sense as she could adapt to any role in hearing the word ACTION. Will miss her presence both as an actor & friend.”
Sridevi and Rakesh Roshan have worked together in the films like Jaag Utha Insaan, Bhagwaan Dada and Mahaguru. The duo shared a great camaraderie. Interestingly, Rakesh's son and actor Hrithik Roshan shared screen space with Sridevi in his first film as a child artist.
Sridevi has left a void so deep that it will be difficult to come to terms with it for the longest time.
While initial reports claimed cardiac arrest to be the reason for her untimely demise, autopsy reports cited accidental drowning to be the reason behind it.
