Imtiaz Ali's much-awaited movie Jab Harry Met Sejal starring the stalwart of romance- Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma released today. The movie which released amidst much hype has opened to mixed response from the audience.
However, that does not come as a surprise considering most of Imtiaz's movie happen to receive mixed reviews.
While the opening day collection will be known tomorrow, the occupancy report suggests that the movie will manage to score high at the box office.
According to a trade site, the movie took a good opening of around 35-40% on average and is the second best of the year in multiplexes of metros, after Baahubali: The Conclusion.
The movie has released in around 2500-3000 screens which are over 1000 screens less than Salman Khan's Tubelight and even Raees.
The opening is the lowest for a Shahrukh Khan starrer in a long time (Dear Zindagi excluded) but that can also be because of the distinct content of the movie.
It will be interesting to see if the movie can break apart from Imtiaz's previous releases and is able to maintain its business in the first weekend. 
The movie chronicles the life of Harry- a tourist guide and Sejal- a tourist who during a course of events end up falling for each other.
