After taking a good start in the morning shows with almost 45% occupancy, Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor's Befikre has recorded good collections on day 1, as predicted by many trade pundits.

The Aditya Chopra film has collected INR 10.36 crore on first day, with major collections coming in from the multiplexes. However, the business of the film didn't do that well in the single screens due to the demonetization issue.

With these collections, Befikre becomes Ranveer Singh's third highest opener after Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

If the film fares a jump of around 15-20% on Saturday, then it will in its favour. Interestingly, the best business for the film came in Delhi NCR as Delhi city, Noida and Gurgaon fetched strong numbers, This was followed by other metros like Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune.
