Avengers: Endgame Overseas Box Office Collection: Here's how much the MCU film earned this week

The battle is on for Avengers: Endgame to dethrone James Cameron's Avatar (2009) as the most successful film, ever. However, judging by the recent box-office trend for the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film, Avengers: Endgame may not be able to beat Avatar.

It's been more than a month since Avengers: Endgame released and it marked the culmination of a beautiful decade-long, 21 films MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) journey. Heavily focused on the OG 6 Avengers namely Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye, Avengers: Endgame could easily be considered as the best film of the decade. It was the perfect swan song for many superheroes that we have come to know and love, over a decade. It also introduced us to phase 4 of MCU.

Avengers: Endgame is surely hitting it out of the park at the box-office. According to Forbes, the MCU film collected $1.2 million, which is 35% less from last Tuesday. The cumulative domestic (North America) collections now stand at $817.8 million. The overseas collection earned is a staggering $1.9 billion and Robert Downey Jr.'s movie is now short of $129 million from dethroning James Cameron's Avatar ($2.029 billion). However, it seems highly unlikely that Avengers: Endgame will be able to defeat Avatar's lifetime box-office collection.
