Last month, actor Shahid Kapoor had started shooting for Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s next untitled web show in Goa, and was soon joined by South actress Raashi Khanna. The duo shot in the coastal state for around a month, and will resume with the second schedule in Mumbai from Saturday. Pinkvilla now has some more interesting updates on the show. We have learnt that the makers have also roped in National Award winning actor Amol Palekar for this much awaited series.
“Amol ji has already shot for the first schedule in Goa, and is a part of the Mumbai schedule as well. He plays Shahid’s grandfather in the show, and has really liked the script,” informs a source close to the development. Palekar is usually known to be selective about his projects, and this show will mark his return to acting. He was last seen in the 2015 TV medical-drama Ek Nayi Ummeed - Roshni, while his last Hindi film as an actor was Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2001 supernatural action-thriller, Aks. In the past, he has also directed acclaimed films like Thodasa Rumani Ho Jaye, Ankahee, Paheli and Samaantar. 
While not much is known about Shahid’s role in the show except the fact that his character doesn’t have one particular profession, Raashi plays a bureaucrat in the series. Shahid officially confirmed being a part of the show in January this year.
Meanwhile, Shahid will next be seen in Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Jersey, which is scheduled to release on November 5, 2021.
