Director-Producer Vikas Bahl, who has been accused of sexually harassing a colleague from Phantom Films, the production company that was co-owned by Vikas along with Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena, has been ousted from a project of his - the Ranveer Singh starrer 83.
Vikas, who was involved in 83 as the producer, has been sacked owing to the allegations of sexual misconduct and the dissolution of Phantom Films. Reportedly, this decision came in after the reportage of his wrong doings resurfaced in the media, following an interview of the victim, talking in detail about Bahl's sexual harassment and the statements given by his then partner Anurag Kashyap.
While the fate of his next directorial Super 30 starring Hrithik Roshan is not known yet, the makers of 83 have taken this stern decision and have conveyed it to Vikas too.
A source close to the production informed us about the same. "Allegations against Vikas have been a huge concern for the team of 83 and they expressed their concern over his presence in the film. Owing to his misconduct, the internal team came to a conclusion unanimously that he shouldn't be involved with the project in any capacity. The same has been conveyed to him and his then partners Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena," informs our source.
On learning this, we got in touch with the official spokesperson of the film and are awaiting a revert on the same.
