Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film, The Greatest Of All Time, also known as GOAT, is one of the most anticipated releases of 2024. The film, helmed by Venkat Prabhu, is touted to be a sci-fi thriller featuring Thalapathy Vijay in a never-seen-before avatar.
On the occasion of Eid-Ul Fitr, the makers of GOAT have unveiled a new poster with its release date.

On April 11, the makers of the film took to their X account and shared another dynamic poster featuring Thalapathy Vijay and also announced its release date. The makers wrote, “Thalapathy @actorvijay Sir plz blow the whistle!! #TheGreatestOfAllTime will arrive on 5th Sept 2024! Keeping the #GOAT updates coming!!”
In the poster, Thalapathy can be seen in a completely different avatar. The actor portrays an older look for the thriller flick. If we look closely, one can see stamps on the poster, while on the other hand, an explosion can be seen in the background.
Soon after the post went viral, Thalapathy admirers took to their comments section and expressed their excitement and happiness. A fan wrote, “We are waiting.” The other one wrote, “Thank you on my Birthday release Thalapathy treat.”

According to their most recent itinerary, the team GOAT is currently in Russia filming high-octane action scenes with Thalapathy Vijay himself. The project, co-written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, is set to be a science fiction action film, with Vijay portraying two characters.
The film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mic Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Yogi Babu, and many other actors. The project is being funded by Kalapathi S Aghoram, Kalapathi S Suresh, and Kalapathi S Ganesh under the name of AGS Entertainment.
Siddhartha Nuni did the camera work, and Venkat Raajen handled the editing. The Greatest Of All Time will hit theaters on September 5, 2024, in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

Apart from GOAT, Thalapathy Vijay will feature in his upcoming project titled Thalapathy 69. As per many speculations, H Vinoth is going to helm the film. However, no official confirmation has been announced by the makers. Thalapathy 69 will also mark Thalapathy Vijay's farewell from the film industry, as he has announced his candidacy in the 2026 elections.
