Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan was released in theatres on the occasion of Pongal and managed to hold its ground despite having stiff competition. Sivakarthikeyan has now embarked on his new journey as he became part of SK21.
On the eve before Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday celebration, makers of SK21 dropped a teaser full of adrenaline rush, titled Amaran. The film is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan who lost his life while bravely fighting terrorists in 2014.

The teaser promises to be a power-packed treat along with its patriotic theme. Sivakarthikeyan can be seen in a whole new avatar. Ulaganyagan Kamal Haasan took to his social platform X and shared the poster of Amaran. He wrote, “Happy birthday dear brother @Siva_Kartikeyan I wish you a long life. #Amaran Delighted to release the title teaser of the movie”. Sivakarthikeyan also took to his X account to share the proud moment and wrote, “I'm honored to have portrayed #MajorMukundVaradarajan. Get ready for the journey of courage and valour”.

Directed and written by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran features a stellar cast, including Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, Gaurav Venkatesh, Shreekumar, and others.
The film is being jointly bankrolled by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran. It was also recently announced that the OTT rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix.
Sivakarthikeyan's latest release Ayalaan
Ayalaan has been shot over 6 years, facing countless hurdles along the way. Written and directed by R. Ravikumar and produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh under the banner of KJR Studios, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Sharad Kelkar, and others in key roles. The film's music has been composed by AR Rahman.
Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming projects
As a producer, Sivakarthikeyan is also awaiting the release of his film, Kottukaali, which will premiere at the 74th International Berlin Film Festival, scheduled to be conducted from 15th February 2024 to 25th February 2024. Kottukaali stars Soori and Anna Ben in the lead roles and has been directed by Pebbles fame director PS Vinothraj.
