Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film with Mallidi Vassishta has been creating headlines right from the time it was announced. The makers of the film recently turned to social media to announce the title of the film as Vishwambhara.
They had also released a concept video of the film, piquing audience interest. In the latest update, the makers have shared a massive update via their official social media and revealed that the film will hit the silver screens on January 10, 2025, during the Sankranti week. They also revealed that Chiranjeevi has begun shooting for the film as well.
Taking to their X, the makers wrote: “A LEGEND RISES; MEGASTAR @KChiruTweets sets his foot in the mighty world of #Vishwambhara; Shoot in progress. In cinemas 10th Jan 2025”

What we know about Vishwambhara so far
On January 15, the makers of Vishwambhara officially released a title and concept video, which as expected went viral. The video showed a celestial figure, in a heavenly space, locking up a magical box with a star symbol at its center, and sending it across the universe.
The magical box then falls onto earth, India to be specific, and creates a huge crater on the earth’s surface. However, the box in itself had no damage whatsoever. Additionally, the concept video also gave a slight nod to Lord Hanuman. It is already known that Chiranjeevi is an ardent believer in Lord Hanuman, and the symbolism could suggest a graceful and auspicious beginning to the film. It is understood that Chiranjeevi’s character is named Dora Babu, is set against the backdrop of Bhimavaram, and aims to transport the audience to the fantastical world as well.
Cast and crew of Vishwambhara
The film is helmed by Vassishta, known for directing Bimbisara. Academy Award winner MM Keeravani has been roped in as the film’s music producer as well. Further, the film has been bankrolled by V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapatti, and Vikram Reddy under the banner of UV Creations. Vassishta has also roped in Bimbisara cinematographer Chota K Naidu to crank the camera for Vishwambhara as well. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Santhosh Kamireddy take care of the film’s editing.
