Sara Ali Khan's Bollywood debut has been one of the most talked about topics of 2018. The newcomer had two movies up for release. One was Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, which was dwindled in delays and controversies galore and the other was Rohit Shetty's masala entertainer Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh. Finally, a release date was given for Kedarnath which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput and is a love story set against the backdrop of the Uttarakhand Floods.
On December 7, 2018, Kedarnath released and had a decent opening day collection of Rs 7.25 crore. Then, on Day 2, there was an upward growth of 35% with the film raking in Rs 9.75 crore. Going forward with the upward trend, Kedarnath collected an impressive Rs 10.75 crore on Day 3, i.e. Sunday. The total collections of Kedarnath so far stand at Rs 27.75 crore (Friday - Rs 7.25 crore, Saturday - Rs 9.75 crore, Sunday - Rs 10.75 crore). The first-weekend collection for Kedarnath has been decent and it will be up to Monday's fate to seal the deal for the movie.
