After Avengers: Endgame's fiasco, MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans have shifted gears to Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is like an epilogue to Phase 3 and also marks the beckoning of a new Phase 4. Tom Holland plays Peter Parker aka everyone's friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. Dealing with the loss of his mentor, Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Peter wants nothing but a normal teenage life. However, an innocent school trip to Europe quickly transforms into a life-threatening rollercoaster ride. Spider-Man has to team up with Quentin Beck aka Mysterio to save the world.
Spider-Man: Far From Home released a day earlier in India, on July 4, 2019. The opening day collections of the Tom Holland starrer in India is quite impressive as it collected Rs 9.75 crore, according to Box Office India. The Jon Watts directorial registered the 7th best opening for a Hollywood movie in India. Currently, the top position is being held by Avengers: Endgame (Rs 53.30 crore) followed by Avengers: Infinity War (Rs 31.23 crore), Captain Marvel (Rs 12.86 crore), Fast & Furious 7 (Rs 12.03 crore), Avengers: Age of Ultron (Rs 10.96 crore) and The Jungle Book (Rs 10.12 crore).
