The much awaited adventure comedy and family entertainer Total Dhamaal starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit in lead roles has finally hit the theatres. The movie by Indra Kumar has witnessed the biggest opening day for the director collecting around Rs 16.5 crores on day 1. This is the second biggest opening of 2019 after Gully Boy which released on Valentine's Day, which is also a non-holiday release. According to Box Office India, the film has scored big in mass markets all over with places like Rajasthan, CI, CP Berar, Nizam/Andhra, Bihar and Gujarat.
The opening day is also the best Ajay Devgn non-holiday opening day figure beating Bol Bachchan by a considerable margin. For the movie to be a super hit, the movie needs to pick up during Saturday and Sunday. The movie has received mixed reviews from all circuits, while the critics have bashed it, audiences have showered it with love.
Total Dhamaal is the third film in the franchise. Sanjay Dutt, who had been a constant in the earlier two films was not a part of the third film but that did not dent the success of it, as the figures speak.
With Total Dhamaal, the iconic jodi of Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit has returned to the celluloid and the fans can't get enough of them.
