Tom Holland was back as the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man in the Jon Watts directorial, Spider-Man: Far From Home. The MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film, which also marked the entry of Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, looked into the after-effects of Avengers: Endgame. Peter Parker is trying to move on from the death of his mentor, Tony Stark aka Iron Man and heads for a school trip to Europe. However, the Elementals plan to destroy Earth and Spider-Man is enlisted to aide Mysterio in saving humankind.
When it comes to the box-office numbers for Spider-Man: Far From Home, the MCU film has officially crossed the $1 billion mark globally. According to Forbes, the movie has collected $1.036 billion, so far. The US box-office collection stands at $344.455 million, so far and the film beats out Spider-Man: Homecoming ($334 million) and Spider-Man 3 ($336 million). The numbers are mighty impressive as Spider-Man: Far From Home was made on a budget of $160 million. It will soon cross Skyfall ($1.108 billion) as the biggest global grosser for Sony Pictures. Even in India, the film has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark.

Meanwhile, in an EXCLUSIVE interview with Pinkvilla in Bali, Tom spoke candidly about what he felt Peter Parker's immaturity was in Spider-Man: Far From Home. "I think his immaturity is that he doesn't realize how powerful he is. And, throughout the film, he realizes that he's got this responsibility, sort of, bestowed on his shoulders," Holland revealed.
