a) Skin type- To pick the right concealer, consider your skin type first! If you have oily skin, a lightweight liquid concealer would work best. On the other hand, if you have dry skin, a hydrating cream concealer would be enough to provide much-needed nourishment to your overall face.

b) Shade- Most of the makeup brands offer a wide range of concealer shades. However, the shade you should pick depends a lot on your own skin tone. While a highlighting concealer should be 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone, a camouflaging one must be 1-2 shades darker or an exact match to your skin color.
