One of the much talked about films of this year, Marjaavaan released last Friday and is starring Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh. The tragic action love story has been getting a lot of good reviews from audiences and is being hailed as a mass film. The film stars Sidharth as a goon named Raghu who ends up falling in love with Zoya, a mute girl essayed by Tara. Coming to the box office collection of Marjaavaan, the film has enjoyed a decent run at the box office.
As per reports of Box office India, Marjaavaan managed to do decent business at the ticket windows and raked it a total of Rs 36.75 Crore nett. The major business of the film came from the mas circuits of UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, Maharashtra and Nizam. When Sidharth and Tara starrer had released last Friday, it had got a good start and on the first weekend, got a huge jump at the box office. The weekend did see a normal drop by 15% . However, Marjaavaan continued to enjoy a decent run at the box office.
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, Marjaavaan’s USP lies in the music and the action. Fans of Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh loved to seem them once again after Ek Villain and enjoyed the film. The songs like Haiya Ho, Tum Hi Aana, Thodi Jagah and Ek Toh Kum Zindagani have been a rage across all musical platforms. Now, as Pagalpanti starring John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor and others releases today, it will be interesting to see how Marjaavaan does at the box office.
