A young guy is imprisoned for a horrible crime in Manhattan in the summer of 1979, and an unlikely investigator must uncover the case before the genuine criminal strikes again. It is based on the non-fiction book 'The Minds of Billy Milligan,' published in 1981, about the first person in US history to be acquitted of a significant crime by pleading dissociative identity disorder.
