Indian actress Bhumika Chawla was born on 21st August, 1978, in New Delhi. She is a former model known for working in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi movies. Bhumika started her career as a model and did several ad films and music videos. She later appeared in the Zee TV series Hip Hip Hurray and Star Best Sellers - Fursat Mein. Later in 2000, she started her acting career with the Telugu film Yuvakudu (2000). Her second release was the 2001 film Kushi opposite actor Pawan Kalyan. The film was a box office hit and earned her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu. Bhumika was seen in several Telugu films including Snehamante Idera (2001), Vasu (2002), Simhadri (2003), Naa Autograph (2004), etc. She was also working in the Tamil film industry and made her debut with the 2001 film Badri. Later in 2003, she made her big debut in Bollywood with the box office hit film Tere Naam opposite actor Salman Khan. The film became one of the biggest earning movies. She also won many awards for the film.
