Batti Gul meter chalu opens when a printing press owned by one of them receives an excessive electricity bill, three childhood friends become entangled in a love triangle and find themselves embroiled in a courtroom drama.

Interestingly, power cuts don't come in the way of the three dancing in a set with LED lights. Also Kumaoni is spoken at such cracking speed that it's often hard to keep up with their exchanges, most of which are taunts and jokes at the expense of the other.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a film that does seem to have its heart in the right place with the subject it wants to deal with, albeit with a mild case of cardiac arrhythmia perhaps a little shock is in order to set its pace back in order
