Pinkvilla’s Review

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a movie that explores the popular notion of falling in love with your best friend. Rahul and Anjali are the perfect example of best friends turned lovers. The arrival of Tina, the new girl in college, sets off a predictable love triangle, which ends with Rahul and Tina getting married. However, tragedy strikes when Tina dies after giving birth, and Rahul is left to raise their daughter with the help of Anjali. The chemistry between the lead actors, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukherjee, is impressive. However, at times, their performances tend to be over the top. The film's music has been able to tear across generations. Overall, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a movie that starts off well but loses steam midway. Nevertheless, it is an enjoyable distraction for those who want to watch a predictable, feel-good movie.
