Drashti Dhami is an Indian model, actress and dancer who is known for working in television serials, web series and music videos. Drashti was born in Mumbai on 10th January 1985 into a Gujarati family. She has a brother, Jaysheel Dhami. Drashti studied at Mary Immaculate Girl's High School, Mumbai. She completed her graduation from Mithibai College, Mumbai. In her initial days, Drashti worked as a dance instructor. She started her career in modelling for print and television advertisements. She worked in advertisements like Colgate, Lion Honey, Pulimoottil Silks, Vasan Eye Care, RKS Grand (Shopping Mall), Amul, VIP Bags, Chevrolet, Reliance mobile and jewellery. She also appeared in several music videos, in her initial days. Drashti made her acting debut with Dill Mill Gayye in 2007. She gained popularity with Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi in 2010. In 2012, she acted in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, this serial also helped Drashti to gain popularity. She also acted in several serials, such as Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. She participated in several reality shows such as Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Box Cricket League 1, etc. She also hosted several reality shows. She has also acted in one short film and two web series. Along with acting and modelling, Drashti is also known for several other reasons. In 2011, she was voted the most desirable woman on television. Bombay Times called her 'Numero Uno' actress on television. The UK-based newspaper Eastern Eye placed her in their "50 Sexiest Asian Women" list. In 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Eastern Eye placed her at the twelfth, third, second, third, fourth, sixth and twelfth position. Drashti was included in the list of FHM India 100 Sexiest women of 2014 at 10th place. In 2016, she was nominated in the "Sexiest Woman" list by FHM India. Drashti was listed eighth among the "35 Hottest Actresses In Indian Television" by MensXP.com, an Indian lifestyle website for men. She was ranked in 38th position in The Times of India's 2014 list of "50 Most Desirable Women". According to the survey in India in 2017, Dhami was voted as a desirable woman opposite Hrithik Roshan in the list. She is the brand ambassador of MATRIX India's hair colour brand, SoColor, Bajaj Brahmi Amla Ayurvedic Hair oil. Drashti was also the brand ambassador for Canvironment Week 2011 and 2013 to support the cause of 'Save Our Planet'. In 2016, she was part of the Swachh Survekshan 2017 Initiative for an environmentally cleaner India (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan). On the personal front, she got married to businessman Neeraj Khemka on 21st February 2015.
