Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi box office weekend collection: Sonakshi Sinha’s film shows healthy growth on Saturday

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Jassie Gill and Piyush Mishra in the lead roles has opened to mixed response. While some critics say that it’s a ‘pointless pursuit of happiness’, others feel the opposite and are praising the concept that the movie manages to tickle your funny bone. But as the trend, it’s the box office numbers that decide the fate of any film - whether it’s a hit or a flop or an average outing.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the weekend figures of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi on Twitter. He wrote, “#HappyPhirrBhagJayegi shows HEALTHY GROWTH on Sat… Sun is expected to be better… Opening weekend biz is expected to be in the same range as the first part [#HappyBhagJayegi had collected 10.71 cr]… Fri 2.70 cr, Sat 4.03 cr. Total: ₹ 6.73 cr. India biz.”
The comedy-drama movie was released in a good number of screens and the good part is that the movie doesn’t have major competition in Utkarsh Sharma’s Genius. But there’s good news for the makers, Anand L. Rai and Krishika Lulla, as the movie opened quite better than its prequel Happy Bhag Jayegi. The movie is written and directed by Mudassar Aziz. 
“It is about mistaken identity and the confusion created by it. The first part was only about Diana’s Happy fighting for love and landing up in Pakistan but in this one, Sonakshi is mistaken to be Happy (Diana) in China. The confusion creates humour. We thoroughly enjoyed shooting the film. I hope audience enjoys watching it too," director Mudassar Aziz told Indian Express. Will you watch the movie or will give a skip?
