EXCLUSIVE: Budget woes for Sushant Singh Rajput and Tinu Suresh Desai's next?
We had exclusively revealed that Sushant and Rustom director are teaming up for a film. But now, we hear there's financial trouble delaying the project.
Sushant Singh Rajput is on a high currently. The actor's last film Sonchiriya might not have worked at the box office. But Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore has uppedb everyone's expectations and the trailer has worked wonders among the general public. The actor is yet to lock another project but one of the films he's in talks for is Rustom director Tinu Suresh Desai's next, which happens to be an espionage spy thriller.
A source had told us a few weeks ago, "It's an espionage spy thriller. It will involve a huge budget and currently, both Tinu and Sushant are taking the film to several big banners who can come on board to finance the project. But Sushant is extremely kicked about the whole film since it involves a lot of action and also has a hint of nationalism in it."
But now, we hear that both Sushant and Tinu are finding it difficult to mount the film. "Since they want to present the story in a certain fashion, both Sushant and Tinu aren't willing to compromise on the product and the quality. They want to shoot abroad in some of the best locations and hire some of the best Hollywood stunt directors to design the action. The budget they are looking at is around Rs 70 crore and till now, they haven't been able to get a studio on board to finance the project." But given the buzz around Chhichhore, it will most expectedly be Sushant's biggest money spinner till date and that might change the whole scenario. After all, in this industry, you are as good as your last film.
