Everyone who follows the NBA knows that the Los Angeles Lakers shoot a lot of free throws, but none more than Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. For that reason, Curry had to celebrate when he learned the Lakers' free throw statistics on Saturday night.

The Lakers shot 18 free throws while the Warriors shot 15, a statistic that immediately made him happy after the game.

"Only 18 free throws!" Steph Curry joked after the game. "Yeah!"

Steph has talked about the free throw disparity in the past

Even though Steph Curry is being sly in his response, there is some validity to his joke. In their January meeting, the Lakers made 43 free throws compared to the Warriors' 16 attempts. All that Steph Curry wants is consistency.

"I just feel as long as it's consistent either way, whatever the tone of the game is, that helps everybody out there just play a good brand of basketball," Curry stated.

"Just go hoops, don't whine. Things get a little crazy and divert your attention when it becomes one-sided or the opposite and you start to feel that way."

Given the current situation, a play-in tournament matchup between the Warriors and Lakers is highly likely. Again, when that occurs, free throws will probably be the primary topic of conversation during the game.
