The sequel to 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' released yesterday and the film is performing well at the box office. On opening day, 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' earned a good Rs. 5.50-5.75 crores nett.

This is indeed surprising because the first film had even failed to collect Rs. 1 crores on its day one. PKP2 has even managed to surpass the first day collections of films like 'Jazbaa', 'Piku', 'Katti Batti', 'Bombay Velvet' among others.

According to Box Office India, the film has done well in the North with Delhi / UP grossing 1.50 crore nett and East Punjab 80 Lakhs nett. The collections in Mumbai are less.

Meanwhile, 'Wedding Pullav' was the best of the other releases but looks like, it will fail to hit the 10 lakhs nett mark.
