AndhaDhun & Loveyatri Weekend Box Office Collection: Ayushmann starrer takes the lead over Aayush’s debut film
Last week’s releases, AndhaDhun and Loveyatri started on a slow note. However, post the weekend, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer AndhaDhun took over Aayush Sharma’s Loveyatri in terms of Box office collection. Read to know more.
Last week, two Bollywood movies were competing with one another. One was Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Tabu starrer AndhaDhun and the other was a debut film of Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain, Loveyatri. The audience had been awaiting both the films. However, on friday after the release, the box office for the movies opened on an average note. Both the films were off to a slow start.
However, post the first weekend, the audiences warmed up to the thriller story of Ayushmann Khurrana and the movie had made Rs 14.35 Crores by Sunday. With this, AndhaDhun overtook Salman Khan’s Loveyatri which merely made Rs 6.75 Crores. The audiences are liking the performances and story of AndhaDhun and thus, the movie’s box office collection also jumped by around 110% on Saturday and grew by 40% on Sunday. The Aayush and Warina starrer has failed to entertain the audiences that has lead to a poor box office collection post the weekend. Thus, in the total weekend collection, AndhaDhun leads by more than half of what Loveyatri made at the box office.
Since the audiences are loving the performances by Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in the film, it is expected that these numbers will grow even more post the weekend as the word of mouth will spread. On the other hand, failure to make an impact with the story, Loveyatri might continue to show poor performance during the week as well.
