Born on 28th May, 1978, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Gulshan Devaiah is a NIFT graduate and is the son of Sri Devaiah and Pushpalatha. He did his primary schooling at Cluny Convent and St Joseph\'s Indian High School after which he graduated from NIFT. After completing his graduation, Gulshan got a job in the fashion industry and worked for around 10 years. At the same time, he also worked as a teacher at Wigan & Leigh College. Later, he started his career in acting from the theatre. After working in several dramas, Devaiah went to Mumbai for a better opportunity and got his first role with Anurag Kashyap\'s short film, That Girl in Yellow Boots opposite Kalki Koechlin and Naseeruddin Shah. Next, he was seen in the 2011 film, Dum Maaro Dum. Gulshan was seen in a major role in Shaitaan in which he was seen in the role of Karan Chaudhary. It was a critical and commercial success and his performance was acclaimed. Apart from that, he was also nominated for several awards. In the year 2012, he featured in Vivek Agnihotri\'s Hate Story opposite actress Paoli Dam, which was also his first lead role. The film was a sleeper hit and Gulshan received appreciation for his performance. Next, he was seen in films Peddlers, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Junooniyat, Hunterrr, A Death In The Gunj, Cabaret, Commando 3, etc. Gulshan has also worked in two web series, Smoke and Afsos.
