2.0 Box Office: Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer beats Aamir Khan's Dangal record

2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles released on November 29 and the film is just unstoppable. Directed by Shankar, the sci-fi film is setting a new record everyday at the box office. The film has crossed Rs 600 crore at the worldwide box office, and with this, it becomes highest grossing Indian film of the year. Now, the film has set another huge record. The total business of 2.0 (all three languages) has beaten Aamir Khan's biggest blockbuster Dangal. Yes, and this record has been set in just 13 days of its release. 

Though 2.0 started on a slow note, it has managed to pick up and now, it is setting huge records with each passing day at the box office. Until the release of big films, SRK's Zero and Kannada star Yash starrer KGF, 2.0 has a huge space to mint good numbers. While Dangal made Rs 380 crore at the domestic box office, 2.0 is a little ahead and is expected to conquer another record of Rs 400 crore by the end of the weekend. It remains to see how the film performs in the coming days. 


Meanwhile, the Tamil version of 2.0 has alone earned Rs 20 crore in Chennai, and with this, it becomes the first Tamil film to achieve this. Rajinikanth's film has beaten Vijay starrer Mersal record which was at Rs 17 crore. Also, the film is earning huge at the box office even overseas. The film is around $18 million, and with this, the worldwide business stands at Rs 610 crore approx.
