Mandira Bedi

Indian actress, fashion designer and television presenter Mandira Bedi was born on 15th April, 1972, in Kolkata to Verinder Singh Bedi and Gita Bedi. She did her schooling in Mumbai and graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. Later, she did her post-graduation from Sophia Polytechnic College. She started her career with an advertising agency and was soon offered a role in the television serial, Shanti (1994) which was the first daily soap on Indian television. Next, she was seen in another famous television serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2001-2003). Mandira has always been passionate about cricket and was offered to host different cricket tournaments including ICC Cricket World Cups and Champions Trophy. Mandira became a famous popular face on television. She made her debut in Bollywood with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. She was seen in several hit films such as Naam Gum Jaayega (2005), Meerabai Not Out (2008), The Tashkent Files (2019), Saaho (2019), etc. She also featured in Telugu films such as Manmadhan (2004) and Adangathey (2021). Mandira got married to Bollywood film director Raj Kaushal on 14th February, 1999. They welcomed their first child in 2011, Vir. Later in 2020, the couple adopted a girl and named her Tara Bedi Kaushal. Unfortunately, her husband Raj Kaushal recently passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest in 2021.
