Box Office Predictions: Judgementall Hai Kya to record better opening than Arjun Patiala
Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut's Judgementall Hai Kya and Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma's Arjun Patiala releases this weekend. Here's the opening day box office collection predictions for both the movies.
It has been some good weekends for Bollywood at the box office. From Kabir Singh to Article 15 and Super 30, the moolah is raining at the box office. With two movies releasing this weekend, it is to see if Judgementall Hai Kya and Arjun Patiala would cash in high at the box office. Turns out, it is predicted that both the movies could do decent business. Judgementall Hai Kya stars Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut in the lead. The duo was last seen in the hit flick Queen. The movie clashes with Arjun Patiala. The comedy movie is headlined by Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma.
While both the movies have generated good buzz, it appears that Judgementall Hai Kya would have an upper hand over Arjun Patiala. Film analyst Girish Johar tells Pinkvilla, "Right from promo release to posters, trailer, Judgementall Hai Kya is giving very intriguing feel and it is looking something different. This being a little niche and upmarket film, it has generated good curiosity. The excitement level is decent."
Speaking about Arjun Patiala, Johar reveals, "Arjun Patiala has a decent buzz. Diljit trying to have a good foothold in Hindi cinema space. He's already in the top league in Punjabi cinema. The film will be a little strong in terms of star opening basis up in the north whereas viz.a.vis in the rest, the content will speak to draw in the audiences." He also adds that not only will the two movies clash with each other, they will also have to prove themselves at the box office against movies like The Lion King and Super 30 that have been holding a stronghold. "These two movies will have to fight a little to come on top. But if the content is good, we know that the jump is superbly high," he notes. 
Predicting the opening day collection of both the movies, Girish says, "I peg Judgementall Hai Kya to collect about Rs 3 to 4 crore. Depending on word of mouth, the movie could surpass Rs 4.5 crore to Rs 5 crores. I peg Arjun Patiala to collect Rs 1.5 to 2 crore." Judgementall Hai Kya would be screened in approximately 2000 screens, whereas Arjun Patiala could have a screen count of 1200 to 1500 screens. Which movie are you excited to watch?
