Kabir Singh all set to beat Salman Khan starrer Bharat; On its way to become highest grosser of 2019
After raking in big money in 12 days, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh now stands at a whopping Rs 196 crore box office collection.
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has been performing exceedingly well at the domestic as well as international box office. With a record opening, the film managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in just four days. It also has been giving stiff competition to Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15 which has been faring decently at the box office. After raking in big money in 12 days, Kabir Singh now stands at a whopping Rs 196 crore collection.
The film, which is a remake of Telugu flick Arjun Reddy, is set to become the highest grosser. According to a report in Box Office India, Kabir Singh is all set to cross the business of Bharat as the film's collections have almost taken over the Salman Khan starrer's 23 days collection.
While Kabir Singh raked in Rs 195.8 crore in 12 days, Bharat's 23-day collection stands at Rs 196.7 crore. Given that the film is raking in almost 10 crore on weekdays, it is not too soon before Kabir Singh overtakes Bharat at the box office. The other highest grosser has been Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Uri's collection stands at Rs 245.36 crore and while Kabir Singh may reach that figure slowly but steadily, it is likely to become the highest grosser of 2019. However, despite the brilliant run, Kabir Singh has been in controversy for its misogynistic approach with many calling out the film for its portrayal of violence and anger against the female lead.
