Box Office Report: Bajirao Mastani vs Dilwale - The War Intensifies!
After enjoying a big opening in its first weekend, Dilwale seems to have suffered a massive drop in its collections. The Shah Rukh, Kajol, Varun and Kriti starrer suffered a dip of more than 50% on Monday and on Tuesday, the collections have gone even lesser. The film has earned only Rs. 8.25 crores on its first Tuesday.
While Dilwale dropped 13% on Tuesday with multiplexes in big cities having noticeable falls with the best holds coming in Nizam / Andhra and East India, Bajirao Mastani was rock steady on Tuesday. The film had just a 5% drop from its Monday collections and earned Rs. 9.50 crores.
With no major Hindi film releasing this weekend both the movies have chance to make money in the second weekend too. However, with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens this weekend, the films are sure to suffer few losses. However, the word of mouth for Bajirao Mastani is strong and hence it would be interesting to see how well the movie picks up!
