If there are two Bollywood actors who are at the peak of their careers, it is the Sultan of the industry, Salman Khan and the current heartthrob, Alia Bhatt. Salman and Alia are on a roll and have been working back to back. Salman Khan will be seen in Bharat and also has 3 big films lined up for the coming year. On the other hand, Alia also has Kalank and Brahmastra. Amidst this, the two also bagged Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah which is a love story. A while back, Alia and Salman announced their pairing on social media as well.

Post this, many of the fans weren’t really convinced about Alia and Salman being paired opposite each other. Many highlighted that the two might not make a great pair on screen due to their age gap. Amidst this, Alia spoke to Pinkvilla in an interview and mentioned that she hasn’t got any criticism on being paired opposite Salman Khan. Alia also mentioned that neither Salman nor Sanjay Leela Bhansali gets bothered by the criticism they receive.

Alia said, “I didn’t get any criticism. I think I got a lot of excitement. I think speculation is also a form of excitement in a way and why shouldn’t there be speculation. There should be and at least I am not bothered by that and I don’t think Salman or Bhansali sir are bothered. I think this is a filmmaker who has given us very good films, he is someone who we all are very fond of and I think we should just trust him with his vision.”

On the work front, Alia will be seen playing Roop in Abhishek Varman’s Kalank in which she will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan for the fourth time. Kalank also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Kunal Kemmu in important roles. Kalank’s new song, Tabah ho Gaye is slated to come out tomorrow and fans can’t wait to see Madhuri dance on the big screen. Kalank is slated to hit the screens on April 17, 2019.
