Rani Mukerji is all set to make a comeback with her upcoming film, Hichki. The film directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra will hit the screens in February next year. This will be Rani’s first film after the birth of her daughter, Adira Chopra. Yesterday, the trailer came out and fans loved the whole setting.

Hichki is about Naina Mathur (Rani) - a woman with Tourette Syndrome - who wants to be a teacher. Tourette Syndrome is a neuropsychiatric disorder that causes involuntary movements and sounds.

Post the trailer came out, there were some Twitter users who said that the film is a copy of the 2008 film Front of the Class, starring James Wolk, Treat Williams and Patricia Heaton. The film tells the story of a young man trying to overcome Tourette's Syndrome and parental disapproval to become an award-winning teacher. Well, both the protagonists suffer from Tourette's Syndrome.

About her film Hichki, Rani had earlier said, “When the script came to me, I wasn’t thinking about getting back to work.  I really liked the script and said, ‘Okay, we can go ahead with it.’ It was a process that happened organically. Then it hit me, ‘I have to leave my daughter and go to work.’ My husband feels if he hadn’t have pushed me, I wouldn’t have come back. I would be very happy being with Adira whole day long. And that’s true. I am most content when I am with my daughter. Right now, she is taking her afternoon nap, so I am comfortable. The minute she wakes up, I will be like, ‘Okay, time to go."

Wow i'd rather watch this. I just lost whatever excitement I had for Hichki now.

The story and content is stolen from the movie front of the class. Stop calling it inspired because eerything was china copied from the foreign movie. I watched the original movie front of the class and hichki is the b grade copy of the original movie. The only thing that is different is the gender swap of the character. Instead of the male character they copy pasted rani in this role. Even scenes are copied and translated. I have seen the movie front of the class room and recognized many scenes in hichki that was copied in the trailer.

Sad . Flop

Yes Indian director stole the storyline from the movie front of the class. Front of the classmovie is based on brad cohen the real life teacher with torretes syndrome and he also won the best teacher award. Hollywood honoured the teacher by making a movie on brad cohen life. Indian director however stole the exact hollywood movie and named it hichki and swap the gender of the male teacher to female. All the story and sces are china copied from front of the class. Indian directors and script writers should be sued in court for stealing content from other foreign movies. I have seen numerous times they steal the content from foreign movie and present it as made in india label. Audience is not dumb and they have exposure to international content so they can see the pirated story lines and content.

Oh shut up. Don't say inspired more like china copy and stealing the exact movie idea and scenes from the movie front of the class.Front of the class was on the real life teacher brad cohen with torretes syndrome. Bollywood china copied this hollywood movie with scenes and copy paste rani mukerjee as an actress. I have seen the movie Front of the class and it was the best movie based on real life teacher brad cohen. Hichki is the cheap china copy of hollywood movies that indian directors like to copy. Coming up with the original idea and story lines requires brain and apparently indian directors lacks that. There are so many issues in india that can be made in movies but no must steal from foreign movies.

There never was and never will be another powerhouse performer like Rani!!

Hichki Bollywood style looks better

Hichki is much better than this!!
