The self-made actor and a versatile performer, Shah Rukh Khan is a popular name in the entertainment industry. Born on 2nd November 1965, Shah Rukh Khan is an Indian actor and film producer. He is famously referred to as Badshah, King Khan and SRK. He came from a middle-class family in New Delhi and gained his Bachelor's degree from Hansraj College. However, he was always intrigued by acting and theatre and used to spend a lot of time at Delhi's Theatre Action Group. Following his dream, after he completed his education, he started pursuing his acting career. He started his journey with television and made his television debut with the 1989 TV show 'Fauji'. He played the leading role of Abhimanyu Rai. Later on, he featured in many other television series including Circus, Idiot, Wagle Ki Duniya and so on.
Soon after, he made his Bollywood debut with 'Deewana' in the year 1992. The film was a box office hit and helped to launch King Khan's Bollywood career. There was no looking back since then. He featured in some of the best cinemas of his career including Baazigar (1993), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). His charismatic screen presence and chocolate boy image made him a famous face among the teenagers and he was named the King of Romance.
Talking about his personal life, SRK got married to the love of his life Gauri Khan on 25th October 1991. The couple are proud parents to three lovely children, son Aryan, daughter Suhana and their youngest child, Abram.
However, Khan did not limit himself to just acting. He started his own production house Red Chillies Entertainment with his wife Gauri onboard as a producer. Other than his Bollywood career, SRK is quite active in several other fields including television and sports. He has hosted numerous award functions including Filmfare, Zee Cine, Screen Awards. Also, he has hosted several television shows such as Kaun Banega Crorepati (2007), Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? (2008), TED Talks India Nayi Soch (2017-2019). In 2008, Shahrukh Khan in partnership with Juhi Chawla and her husband purchased the rights for the franchise of Kolkata in the cricket tournament Indian Premier League (IPL) and named his team, Kolkata Knight Riders. King Khan has some of the top-grossing films in the industry and has acquired international recognition. He has also been honoured with a number of awards.
