Born on 16 July 1983, Katrina Kaif is a British model and film actress. Katrina was born in Hong Kong and before settling in London, her family lived in different countries. In her early childhood, Katrina’s parents divorced and her mother raised Katrina and her seven siblings. At 14, Katrina received her maiden modeling assignment and won a beauty contest in Hawaii, before she professionally pursued modeling in London. While modeling in London, London-based filmmaker, Kaizad Gustad, noticed Katrina and signed her for a role in the movie, Boom. Although Katrina’s first movie was a commercial failure, however, she immediately signed a Telugu film, Malliswari, which was a success. While the actor was invariably criticized for her acting but her career graph saw an upswing when she appeared in movies like Namaste London, Sarkar, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and New York, among others. Katrina Kaif is significantly involved with a charitable trust run by her mother, ‘Relief Projects India’, and in 2015, Katrina’s wax statue was installed at Madame Tussauds in London, thereby, becoming the eighth Bollywood actor to have a wax figure.
