The mother of Ranbir Kapoor, wife of Rishi Kapoor and an Indian actress, Neetu Kapoor, was born on 8 July 1958. At 8, Neetu Kapoor started acting and her first role as a child artist was in Suraj (1966). In 1973, Neetu Kapoor made her debut as a lead actress in Do Kaliyaan. After a series of 55 movies, Neetu Kapoor, at the peak of her career, left the film industry in 1983 after marrying co-star Rishi Kapoor. After almost decades, Neetu Kapoor made a comeback in the movies Love Aaj Kal, Do Dooni Chaar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Besharam. Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were awarded Best Lifetime Jodi at the Zee Cine Awards in 2011. On 22 January 1980, Neetu Kapoor married actor Rishi Kapoor and the couple has two children, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
