Neha Dhupia is definitely having a busy 2K17. Between juggling Bollywood, her own audio podcast and appearing on Koffee With Karan - she is also seen kicking ass as a gang leader in Roadies.

In a tête-à-tête with Pinkvilla, Neha got candid about who her favourite gang leader is, what is it like being the only woman amongst the men and also if she would ever think of joining Roadies as a contestant.

Here are excerpts from the interview:

In Roadies, you are the one badass woman amongst the men. How does it feel?

It's nice to be called badass because I feel like a woman who is out there and speaks her mind is always slotted in a category. One of the subcategories of that is badass so I'm totally okay with that. It feels great. I don't come from a place where I get a handicap saying you can take a little bit of a lead because we know you're not stronger than the rest, nobody treats me like that and I like that about the team. They feel that if there is anything a man can do, a woman can do better. They've always treated me like one of the boys. It's great to be on the show. It's great to be the only female judge. I feel like it's a good thing and MTV has done a fantastic job by not getting two women to judge it. Because strangely I feel when men fight each other, they are known as fighters and the minute two women start fighting against each other it becomes a cat-fight. The best way to stay away from a catfight is to not have two women in one frame. That's on a much lighter note, but having said that, I'm treated like one of the boys. I feel like one of the boys and I promise you - it's the best experience. I didn't say this last year - Rannvijay kept saying it, but I'm saying it this year that a woman is going to win this time. For me, it is definitely the year of the women. I've chosen more women on my team than any other gang leaders have because I have immense faith in the fact that women are very strong.

Who is your favourite gang leader?

A: It's definitely Rannvijay Singha. He fights hard and he plays hard. I like people with a sense of humour. He and I went to school together and we have the same upbringing. He comes from a Fauji background and so do I. We have a lot in common as well. Childhood friends, we've known from a long time ago. We've fought many times on the show before. Whether you like it or not, it kind of puts you in a situation where you end up fighting with more people than you think you're going to. It's also adrenaline - you have to yell and scream at people sometimes, it's allowed. But, I know with Rannvijay I can bounce back and I have in the past so most definitely him. He's a rock solid guy.

What is your take on the now infamous Slapgate and Karan Kundrra being replaced by Nikhil Chinapa?

That is unfortunate, what happened. It's great to have Nikhil - he's come back after 7 years so whatever happens, happens for a reason and the reason is always good. But having said that, Karan is not leaving because of that. He's leaving as there has been a shuffle of updates and he's just not been able to juggle his dates. Karan does have his own personality - one which has worked for the show. If it wasn't for a date problem, there would not have been an issue. But whatever the issue maybe, I think Nikhil is a good replacement as well.

Would you ever think of joining Roadies as a contestant?

This is the first time I have been asked this question as no one has been smart enough to ask me this. But I most definitely would. If you take me back like 12-15 years back, I would definitely join Roadies as a contestant because I am somebody who is an adrenaline junkie. And sometimes I think if I was standing there like these boys put me in a situation while the auditions were going on that your task is to go there and convince us that we should pull the buzzer for you. Ofcourse they were all very cute and they did press the buzzer for me. It's a very endearing thing when Karan, Prince, Rannvijay, me and Bhaji are staring back at a contestant, it can throw you off. It threw me off. They made me do this one little drama act and I was like no no no I'm scared but I would definitely do it. It doesn't take anything away from you. It's a learning experience and a learning ground. It teaches you more than discipline. It teaches you team spirit, the importance or the unimportance of taking your life too seriously. Winning or losing a task is not the only thing. These kids, they come as immature people who haven't experienced anything in life and they go on live television and their life is changed forever. They're not strugglers in any way. They're established people in their craft that they want to own for the rest of their life. I know that girls from last year are already on different TV shows. I know boys are doing things which are adventure driven. Some of them are modeling. Live examples are Ayushmann Khurrana who did not win but he has made his mark or like a Bani J who has not won but has also made her mark, So there are like so many of them. Rannvijay himself, so there's lots of them.

Can you give us any tidbits on the Koffee Awards in Koffee With Karan for which you were a guest?

I may make a lot of enemies out of that, that's my biggest tidbit I can give you. I was being my usual self, no filter Neha.
