Gadar 2: The Kath Continues starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa and others, and directed by Anil Sharma is a sequel to the all time blockbuster film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Pretty much like the first part, the second part is also an all time blockbuster with collections of Rs 280 crores nett in India in its first 7 days, thus becoming the 2nd fastest Hindi film after Pathaan to accomplish this feat. These numbers have been secured despite the clash with a significant release like OMG 2 and had there been no clash, the numbers would have been a higher.

Gadar 2 has put up an unprecedented show in India. Internationally, it has done a business of around 4 million dollars in its first week. The strong hold on weekdays indicates that it shall be doing a business of around 8 million dollars in its full run. On a relative basis, the numbers internationally are low but on the basis of the genre and its appeal, it has done well. By the end of its run, it shall become the third highest Hindi film grosser internationally after Pathaan and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

About Gadar 2

During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) returns to Pakistan to bring his son, Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma), back home. Ameesha Patel reprises the role of Sakina. The film is a sequel of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which had the backdrop of the partition of 1947.
