Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa is all set to present its grand finale in just a few days. Kickstarted in July, the show has now reached its final stage. The final three to jump into the dance war zone are Salman Yussuf Khan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Teriya Magar.

While exclusively talking to Pinkvilla.com, the two dapper dancers, Shantanu and Salman took a trip down memory lane and recollected their top 5 performances.

Shantanu Maheshwari & choreograper Alisha Singh.

1- The family special episode, where I got to perform with my mother for the very first time on stage! This will always be closest to my heart! As it had always been her dream to dance with me on stage, and Jhalak made this possible for her. I mean, what better than actually performing with my mother on such a big platform!? I remember rehearsing with her, where I was teaching her this time. These memories are going to be cherished for a lifetime!

2- Another performance which will always be a personal favourite is our tribute to Govinda sir! He has always been a dance inspiration for me, and the fact that I actually got to perform on his songs in front of him, recreate him and Karishma Kapoor's dances on the Jhalak stage, will be forever cherished! I was initially quite nervous, of course, as it was a dream come true to actually be performing in front of my dance idol!

3- Another performance of mine I love is my tribute to Prabhudeva sir! He too has been my biggest inspiration in dance since I began, and the fact that he even sent me a video wishing me all the best, made me give in my 200% into the act! That one will always be special to me!

4- Another performance I really worked hard on was Zinda which had Alisha and me perform on a rastrum! (what does this means) I mean, our rehearsals were full of injuries since it is a heightened prop, but through this act, I actually got over my fear of heights, and fought with my vertigo too, which was an absolute challenge I managed to overcome! So yes, I truly am proud of myself for this performance.

5- The Chau act! The costumes were quite authentic, but we actually encountered breathing problems whilst dancing, due to how heavy they were. But we really took this up as a challenge and made it through. We even did our research well, about the dance style and form which was quite difficult, but I am happy we explored this dance style to our benefit. And more importantly, this dance style requires 2 hours overall, when Chau dancers dance, but since we got only a few minutes on the Jhalak stage, we put this up in exactly a few minutes! Again I am proud of myself for learning something new via this dance style.

Salman Yussuf Khan & Aishwarya Radhakrishnan

1) Aayat - It was the most different performance I have done till date. I was performing on Kizomba which is a latin American dance form. Nobody had attempted the Latin American dance form in Jhalak Dikhla Ja so I thought of going ahead with it.

2)Belly Dance fusion - For this performance, I mixed belly dance with Flamenco. Both are gypsy dance forms and it was exciting for me to mix 2 very different dance forms and do justice to it. The music also played a very important role in this performance as I performed on a Bollywood song instead of going for a belly dance or a Flamenco song.

3)Aadat - We can see that today's generation is addicted to some or the other thing which is not good for them.  I always wanted to send out a message to the young generation to not get addicted to anything which proves to be harmful to them and of course the song that I chose perfectly went with the message I was trying to give out.

4)Bulleya - This was a very challenging performance as it is a very popular song and the director of the movie was sitting right in front of us so we were under a lot of pressure. The prop which we used in this performance was something that I had never used in the past. We could never complete the act on time when we were rehearsing. The only time the act came together was when we were performing in the episode in front of the judges and audience.

5)Dance of Faith Acrobatia act - In this act, we used acrobatics in a dance context. Acro dance is a style that combines classical dance technique with the precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics and even Mr. Bachchan was amazed by the act. It was a big achievement for me to be able to perform in front of such an amazing personality and impress him.
