Kangana Ranaut was born on 23 March 1986 in Himachal Pradesh. After failing a unit test in Chemistry, Kangana questioned her career prospect of preparing for the All India Pre-Medical Test and instead, relocated to Mumbai to pursue a career in film and joined a four-month acting course in a drama school. In 2006, Kangana made her debut with the movie Gangster and earned critical acclaim and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Over the years, the actress has delivered a string of successful movies which include Tanu Weds Manu, Fashion, Krrish 3, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Queen and many more. Kangana Ranaut practices vegetarianism and in a poll conducted by PETA, Kangana was listed as ‘India’s hottest vegetarian’. Kangana has two siblings; elder sister, Rangoli, who works as her manager and younger brother, Akshat. However, Kangana Ranaut’s personal life has always been mired in controversies and while in 2007, Kangana filed a police complaint against Aditya Pancholi for physically assaulting her, Pancholi, on the contrary, admitted of cohabiting with Ranaut and accused her of owing him 2.5 million. Later, in 2008, Ranaut was in a romantic relationship with Adhyayan Suman but the couple separated the following year. In 2010, Kangana was involved in a long-distance romance with Nicholas Lafferty, an English doctor. However, two years later, the couple separated and thereafter, Kangana has maintained that she will never enter wedlock.
