Priyanka Chopra, born on 18 July 1982 in Jamshedpur, Bihar, is an Indian actress, singer, producer, model, and philanthropist. Although Priyanka aspired to pursue aeronautical engineering due to her modeling career, joined the Indian film industry and made her debut in 2003 with the movie Hero. After a series of movies, Priyanka finally earned recognition with the movie Fashion where she portrayed the role of a troubled model. In 2015, Priyanka Chopra started her international career as Alex Parrish with the thriller series Quantico and became the first South Asian to be a part of an American network series. Priyanka’s first single, ‘In My City’ debuted in the US featuring rapper will.i.am. In 2012, Priyanka won the Best International Debut Award at the People’s Choice Awards India for her single. Later, in 2012, Chopra released her second single Exotic featuring American rapper Pitbull. However, Chopra’s Bollywood debut as a singer was ‘Chaoro’ in Mary Kom (2014). Besides, Priyanka is actively involved in philanthropic work and has worked with UNICEF and was also appointed as the national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010 and 2016.
