EXCLUSIVE: Anushka's Phillauri has An Amazing Story that Bollywood hasn't Witnessed - Diljit Dosanjh

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is on a roll. Even before his debut film in Bollywood Udta Punjab has released, he has been signed for his second Hindi film. Diljit has bagged a role opposite Anushka Sharma in her next production Phillauri.

When we got in touch with Diljit to know his reaction on this, he beamed with joy and said, "I don’t know what is happening but this is unbelievable. They thought I could do a role and I am glad about it. I just don’t want them to lose the faith in me. I will give my 200% for it."

Now that he is working with Kareena in his first Hindi movie and Anushka in second, probe him if he had anticipated this and Dosanjh admits, "No, I hadn’t expected this. When Anushka and her brother came to meet me, the team was very young and I didn’t feel I was meeting some big people. And when they told me the story, I loved it. The ending is so amazing that I thought to myself ‘How can I leave this movie?’ It is an amazing story which Bollywood has never witnessed. I felt why we never thought of it in Punjabi cinema. I am overexcited about it but I cannot reveal anything about the film at this stage."
