Manisha Koirala EXCLUSIVELY gushed to Pinkvilla about how you can't take your eyes off of Vicky Kaushal in Sanju. Vicky plays the role of Kamlesh, Sanjay Dutt's best friend.
One of the most anticipated movies in 2018 has to be Sanju, which released today. The movie chronicles the controversial life of Sanjay Dutt through the mind of Rajkumar Hirani and the heart of Ranbir Kapoor.
One of the underdogs whose impeccable performance has left everyone stunned is Vicky Kaushal, who plays Kamlesh, Sanju's best friend. One of the cast members who predicted the brilliance of Vicky and that is Manisha Koirala, who essays the role of the late legendary actress and Sanjay's mom, Nargis Dutt.
In an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, when we asked Manisha if the SUPERSTAR tag is not relevant in today's generation, Manisha said, "This is an era where people want to excel in their work rather than keep a facade. I mean, it is okay to enjoy that. There's a good side to being a superstar, also. That's something to be enjoyed I feel. It's okay to have that but, today, some great performances are coming from the most unassuming people, who may not have screen presence for that matter. Who may not have a typical good-looking material but they're brilliant actors. You can't take your eyes off them once they are on the screen. Irrfan Khan for that matter and you have Rajkummar Rao!" 
Talking specifically about Vicky, Manisha gushed, "In this movie, you are going to have Vicky Kaushal. All his previous movies, whether it be Masaan or Lust Stories, he's brilliant and in Sanju, he is phenomenal. Today's generation is of good performances. It's also keeping with the fact that people are seeing world cinema and in world cinema, there's a value for good performances."
