Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Subhash Ghai reunion at Ghai's birthday was a beautiful remembrance of Taal, the only movie the duo worked on.

Aishwarya visited Ghai's Whistling Woods college and surprised Subhash. The director shared the picture on Twitter and wrote, "How real friends surprise u is always a treat. So did my favourite star ashwarya rai bachchan by her surprise presence on eve of my birthday in a surprise party by my team @Whistling_Woods @MuktaArtsLtd @MuktaA2Cinemas on 24 January She is always gracious indeed."

Meanwhile the 72-year-old filmmaker spoke about Taal earlier and said, “The film opened to really poor reviews, and was slammed by everybody. They said that the film will only do well because of the music. There were also comments like Subhash Ghai’s time is over, and many things like that. But then, I think the audience didn’t take it seriously, and kept going to the theatres in numbers to watch the film."

He admitted that the movie had no story and said, “ I knew it was a tough project, because it had a very thin story. So I went to Rahman, and told him that this film will work because of the contribution of only two people — ’me and you’. He created music for the film, which is still loved by all and Apple Music has now put the film’s music into World Music category. That’s an incredible feeling."

Aishwarya is currently busy with Fanne Khan wherein she will seen reuniting with Anil Kapoor. The movie also stars Rajkummar Rao.
