EXCLUSIVE: Asha Parekh on her biopic - Priyanka, Deepika, Alia, Kangana can play me well
Veteran actress Asha Parekh thinks Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt or Kangana Ranaut can play her well if a biopic is made.
Asha Parekh is gearing up for the launch of her autobiography The Hit Girl that will be unveiled by Salman Khan on April 10. Ahead of the book launch, we caught up with the veteran actress at her cozy residence.
Interestingly, her autobiography comes as a surprise since a few years back when she was asked about it in an interview, she had said, "I have to be truthful if I write my autobiography. I may be having a few skeletons in my cupboard which I don’t want to talk about."
Ask her what changed her mind and Asha Parekh admits, "Yes. It was Khalid Mohammad who changed my mind. The way he put everything and the questions he asked. It was easy to write the book and to come out with the truth. The skeletons are covered in the book."
The book's cover was unveiled a few days back and it has received a mixed response. "Some people didn't like it while some liked it. On whole people have loved it, except one or two people who came up to me and told me that they didn't like the cover," reveals Parekh.
Superstar Salman Khan, who would be launching the book, has also written the foreword. Ask Asha Parekh about it and she smiles, "I was very happy that he has written it so well. There were a lot of emotions in it and it was very nice."
Now that her autobiography is releasing, ask her who does she think will do justice to her role, if ever a biopic is made on her life and the veteran actress replies "Oh my god it is difficult to say. Well, Alia is there doing the bubbly roles which she does. That would suit my personality I think so. There are Deepika, Priyanka and Kangana as well, who can play me well. There are so many who suit me."
