EXCLUSIVE: Ishaan Khatter being considered to play the lead in Shahid Kapoor starrer Ishq Vishq's sequel?
Ishaan Khatter, who made his debut with Dhadak, has been approached to play the lead in Shahid Kapoor starrer Ishq Vishq's sequel.
That Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao starrer Ishq Vishq will be getting a sequel was confirmed a couple of months back. The news has obviously gotten everyone excited and while everyone has been waiting to hear more about it, we know that the movie will be getting a modern touch in its sequel. Now, in a fresh development, we have now learnt that Shahid Kapoor's younger step-brother Ishaan Khatter is being considered to play the lead role in the sequel. The movie will be produced by Ramesh Taurani.
An insider informs, "The makers are currently working on the script for the movie. Ishq Vishq was very young in nature, and hence, who better than Ishaan Khatter, who exhibits the required charm and innocence for the role. Apparently, the idea has been discussed with Ishaan but that's it." There has been nothing locked or finalised as yet. Discussions are on at a very preliminary stage. If this works out, it will be interesting to see how things will turn up if Ishaan takes forward the legacy set by his older bro Shahid with Ishq Vishq.
We dropped multiple texts to Ramesh Taurani for a comment, but he remained unavailable. Meanwhile, speaking of Ishaan, the actor made an impressive debut with Dhadak opposite Janhvi Kapoor. The movie received a warm welcome from the critics and audiences. Ishaan has next signed a web series which will be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. However, no development has been reported on it so far.
