EXCLUSIVE: Kangana Ranaut in talks for a slick female centric action film
Kangana Ranaut is currently wrapping up Panga and will soon begin work on the Jayalalithaa biopic. But right after, she has another film that she's currently discussing.
In the last few years, Kangana Ranaut has managed to create her own space in Bollywood. She has clearly admitted that she won't ever do neurotic roles anymore. Interestingly, in the last four films, she has hardly had a prominent male lead and completely shouldered the movies on her own. Her recent flick Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi has been very well received by the audience and among the top 5 women-centric films, two belong to her. Now, as she is currently shooting for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's next Panga, she has also initiated talks with a big banner for a special project.
Our source says, "Right after Panga releases, Kangana has given bulk dates to the Jayalalithaa biopic which releases in 2020. But she and her team have been flooded with a few offers. Among the several, the one that has caught her fancy is a slick and stylish actioner which will show Kangs in a never-seen-before avatar. In fact, it's nothing like Manikarnika since it's set in contemporary times and will have modern-day action. It's yet another strong subject with her as the only lead. Talks have begun but the actress' team is currently trying to work out the modalities. If all goes well, this might be her immediate project after the politician's biopic." 
The source adds, "Kangana showed extreme promise with the way she handled the big action sequences for Manikarnika. This will be mounted on a huge scale and is more futuristic. The makers feel she also has a physique to pull off the action film." With actresses always complaining about not being offered many action packed roles, Kangana truly is making a difference and how!
