Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan prep for Thugs of Hindostan
Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan snapped during a script reading session for Thugs of Hindostan.
Director Vijay Krishna Acharya is all set to kickstart shooting for Thugs of Hindostan from June 1. The movie stars actors Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead role.
A fortnight before the film goes on-floors, we got our hands on a photo of Big B and Aamir reading the script along with Victor. The talented trio is sitting at one of the rehearsal studios of Yash Raj Films and seems to be engrossed in their prep.
While Aamir Khan looks dapper in blue jeans, a white t-shirt and black-yellow sports shoes, Big B is at his casual best in a white pathani, a printed jacket and brown suede shoes.
Going by the photo, it surely means that both the actors - Aamir and Amitabh Bachchan - are engaged in discussing and developing this big-ticket project which is slated to release on Diwali 2018.
Interestingly, initially, there were rumours that Aamir would be seen romancing Fatima. However, a daily rubbished the news and quoted sources that Aamir Khan plays the role of a 'Thug' who is a rascal recruited to avenge the death of Fatima's family. Amitabh Bachchan portrays the role inspired from Thakur's character that was played by Sanjay Kumar.
Speculations around what could be the role of the two actresses in the movie have also kept the media abuzz. A leading daily quoted a source yesterday which read, "The script of TOH required two actresses — a raw, rough-and-tough Indian girl who is part of Aamir’s gang of thugs and in love with his character and a beautiful British lady with whom Aamir’s character falls in love with. While the Indian girl will be played by Fatima, Katrina Kaif plays the British girl."
Though nothing is official about this, a source clarified to us that Katrina isn't playing a British girl and instead has a 'classical Indian role'.
Guess, to know more details, we shall wait longer!
