Exclusive: Sham Kaushal part of Housefull 4 while the woman who accused him of sexual misconduct made to rest
Action director Sham Kaushal has joined the team of Housefull 4 whereas the woman who accused him of sexual misconduct has not been asked to come for this schedule of the film.
Action director Sham Kaushal has been accused by an assistant director of sexual misconduct. The woman has alleged that during an outdoor shoot in 2006, Sham Kaushal invited her to his room for drinks and even showed her pornographic video on his phone. Sham Kaushal, who has been a stunt director for films like Bajirao Mastani and Dangal had reacted to this allegation and had posted a statement on his Twitter account. A part of his statement read, “I have read the allegations made against me by some crew members. If I have unintentionally caused any hurt or anguish, I unconditionally apologise to the ladies, to the production houses & each & every member of the film fraternity.”
Now, we have learnt that Sham Kaushal has resumed work on the next schedule of Housefull, however the woman who accused the action director has not been called for this schedule. Housefull 4 stars Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon among other stars. In the wake of Me Too movement in India, many women called out the film’s director Sajid Khan for grave sexual misconduct. Sajid was later asked to step down as the film’s director. Tanushree Dutta has accused Nana Patekar of trying to touch her inappropriately and intimidating her in 2008 during the shoot of Horn Ok Pleassss. Nana Patekar has also opted out of the film due to the allegations against him.
Akshay Kumar had issued a strong statement regarding the allegations and now the film is being directed by Farhad Samji. It is slated to release in October next year.
